These past few weeks since the Elliot Rodger killings has given people a lot of time to think about their own lives. I’m hoping that guys who previously spent their time ripping each other apart on hateful online forums have started living their own lives in real life instead of through an online community. It’s easy to egg each other on when you’re sitting behind a computer screen, talk shit about the world, and think it’s normal to be so negative.
I left the PUA community in 2008 because I wanted nothing to do with the negativity of it anymore, but because reading The Game and discovering the world of self-help and improvement through wanting to be a pick up artist, I also found a new chance at life in all aspects. I wanted to give back and share what worked and what didn’t.
It is tempting to name all of so called the seduction gurus and websites that are detrimental to guys wanting to better themselves, but I can’t. As I start typing each URL and paragraph I feel a knot in my stomach knowing that even by acknowledging they exist that I am feeding their hatred and negativity. So instead, here is what to avoid if you sincerely want to become the best version of yourself, be attractive to women, and have a new chance at a better life.

Avoid:
1. Websites or online communities that exist solely to defame others. You may think they are there to “warn you” about things that don’t work, but in reality they are there for people to complain, be negative, and allow people to have excuses why they don’t even try.
2. Any guys that identify themselves as a PUA, or have PUA in their facebook name. They are there to impress other men and grow their reputation as a pick up artist instead of actually becoming an attractive man or bettering themselves.
3. Tips, Tricks, Openers, or any other quick fixes. You’ve heard this before. But trust me, stop looking for these and avoid them completely. You will never become a genuinely attractive man if you use little boy trick and gimmicks.
4. The “HB10″ First, stop using all pick up terminology. Secondly realize that the unicorn blondes you are chasing in the club are just that. The sooner you realize that even the “perfect 10″ is just a normal girl that happens to spend a lot of time and money on hair, makeup, clothes, and other illusions, you’ll realize that the HB10 is a scam.
5. Stop feeling entitled. You are not entitled to shit. No one is. But trust me, once you get over thinking you want or deserve women or money you’ll see an abundance flowing in.
Attract:
1. Future think. The sooner you start thinking with a long term goal in mind, the sooner you will get there. Before you do anything, ask yourself how will this action help you one year from now.
2. Accept who you are today, and continue to better yourself. If you never accept who you are just the way you are you’ll never be happy. Guys like Elliot Rodger had it all, but never accepted himself and was never genuine to others. Do not become him you know where it ends.
3. Become genuinely attractive. Work hard, dedicate a year of your life and transform you diet, exercise routine, sleep schedule, hobbies, work, and career. I promise you that women are attracted to men who are rich, in shape and confident about their achievements. You know this, you’ve always known this. Stop looking for shortcuts and start working towards it.
4. Look for mentors and programs that actually work. Don’t read about them in online forums or websites, especially ones that are controlled by one person, or the company that sells the program. Get the names, emails, or numbers of an alumni, hopefully one that is no longer in the “Pick Up” community, and ask them if it worked. Ask a previous student who is now out of the game, or better yet one that is now married. Ask them, don’t ask the guy who spends all day complaining on internet forums.
Learn this this tragedy and move on from it. Vow to surround yourself with positive people with a healthy outlook on life and the future. Better yourself in all aspects of your health, wealth, and confidence. Leaving the Pickup Artist community was the best thing that ever happened to me but what I took away from it was the knowledge that we can change. Since then I have traveled the world, started my own business, got healthy, got in shape, and become genuinely attractive. I wish the same for you.
